Abstract

Abstract

Edlink Mobile apps is an android based application developed by PT. SEVIMA to assist students and lecturers in carrying out learning activities online. Currently Edlink mobile apps users reach 65,308 active users. Based on the user rating obtained in the Playstore, which is 3.9 out of 5 stars. The low rating value can be influenced by several user reviews on the playstore, such as the application cannot connect to the server, cannot click the submit quiz button, and cannot upload lecture assignments. These problems certainly cause users to be disappointed and reduce user satisfaction (satisfaction). This study uses the heuristic evaluation method, with the aim of knowing the current usability conditions specifically and providing recommendations for improvements in accordance with the priority of problem findings. The researcher made 40 questions which were used as evaluation materials. From the evaluation results of 3 expert evaluators, it is known that there are 84 problem findings at this time. The most usability problems are found in the H1-Visibility of System Status principle with a percentage of 23.8% of the total 82 problems and an average severity rating of 2.5 is obtained. Meanwhile, the highest average severity rating is 3.22 on the H3-User Control and Freedom principle from a total of 3 problem findings. Researchers provide 38 recommendations for improvements that can be used in the development of Edlink.
